چکیده
Aim: Palmar and axillary hyperhidrosis is caused by overstimulation of the sympathetic nervous system that control sweat glands. This study compares clinical consequences uniportal multiportal thoracic endoscopic sympathectomy (ETS), in cases severe palmar hyperhidrosis. Methods: In this retrospective study, forty-one patients who were diagnosed as primary analyzed. These underwent ETS between 2015 2020 at our surgery clinic. They divided into two groups, 24 (58.5%) 17 (41.5%). compared terms length hospital stay, initial complications possible recurrences after three months. Descriptive statistics used to evaluate stratified continuous variables. Results: There was no significant difference moderate pain groups. a groups 3 days or more hospitalization. related rate such ptosis, Horner syndrome, increased duration recurrence months surgery. Some mild side effects disappeared spontaneously 6-month follow-up.Conclusion: The results showed thoracoscopic (EST) are very effective, safe minimally invasive methods for treatment hyperhidrosis. Compared approach, EST causes less postoperative surgical duration.

Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy has become the preferred method for treating intractable palmar hyperhidrosis because of its simplicity, though various complications have been reported. We report two patients suffered from severe palmar pompholyx-like eczema following this procedure. One was successfully treated with topical and oral steroids, however, the other had a wavelike continuation of...

BACKGROUND Primary hyperhidrosis is characterized by excessive sweating beyond physiological needs. It is a common disease (incidence 2.8%) that causes intense discomfort for patients. In the last decade, advantages of Single-Incision Thoracoscopic Sympathectomy have become clear, particularly in decreasing morbidity of sympathectomy. PATIENTS AND METHODS From January 2010 to December 2012, 3...
